The SAMOHI library is open from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. M-F , Fri. 4:30. Mr. Averett’s regular hours are: M-F, 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. OR by arrangement.

1. How to locate a library book in the SAMOHI Library, go to: www.samohi.smmusd.org > Library > SM High School Library Catalog > Search the library catalog by typing in your search word or phrase and select the arrow button.

2. How to locate a library book in the Santa Monica Library System, go to: www.samohi.smmusd.org > Library > Santa Monica Public Library > Search the library catalog by typing in your search word or phrase and select the search button.

3. How to locate databases linked to SMMUSD , go to: www.samohi.smmusd.org > Library > Databases > Proquest (also SIRS)

4. How to locate magazine articles on the web, www.samohi.smmusd.org > Library > click on the Wikispaces link button underneath the library hours box.
On the page that appears click on the left side link > Online resources > click on the box on the left side of the page labeled K – 12 Schools Pioneer > in the Utah Student Log-in Name box type in the following words.
http://pioneer.uen.org

Log-in Name: pioneer
Password: home

On the page that appears under the heading entitled: General Reference Collection , click on the link to EBSCO > Select All Databases (push the continue button) > on the next page put a check in the box labeled Full text and type your search topic in the search box and push the Search button.

Your results will appear in a list arranged by date of publication from the newest to the oldest.

You may open any of the results and save the articles to your data folder, a USB thumb drive or you even have the option of emailing to a web based email account.
    • some results maybe viewed as a pdf file enabling you to view the article just as it appeared in the magazine including charts and pictures.
